Mother's Day Photos Quite Late

A family photo snapped  in front of our fresh spring green aspen tree in our back yard!

I can't imagine who this is, but she loves lilacs!
Sunday after Mother's Day we traveled to Denver to hear Wes and Misty Peterson's family share about going to Lesotho, Africa, under HIM, to work with orphans near Glenn and Steph Gault.
We really loved this sweet and very brave family. Their oldest daughter, age 14, played the piano so nicely for the children's song called, "We Were Born to Serve the Lord."
Misty is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Schenk who were missionaries in Papua New Guinea. She spent many years of her youth involved with her family in PNG.
It was very intriguing listening to Wes tell about how God spoke to both him and his wife, at age 40 and in the middle of successful business or nursing job and having just made plans to build their own home, as well as how God drew their children into a desire to be missionaries and work with the underprivileged.
They plan to work with Orphan Care in Lesotho, where about 40% of children have lost one or both parents, and the average life span is only 48 years old.
I can't help but think of the Scriptures that say, "And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.
And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy."
Acts 2:17-18

I remembered this verse also after attending several services of IHC at the Littleton Church of God Holiness a couple weeks earlier.
There the Greg Hobleman family sang several songs which we enjoyed so very much. Mrs. Hobleman told of how a friend had just gotten back to the Lord the week before, and how her own sister had dreamed recently about the rapture, and then one of her own children dreamed about  the rapture.
God is sending dreams and visions not just to the unreached in Muslim countries, but to people right here in America.
God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Mark Mowery, moderator at the IHC convention, asked all the pastors and wives to come up for a picture with the IHC workers.
We enjoyed that weekend so very much, with very simple, practical messages that ministered to us.
