I had a ball shopping for household items and groceries in blue boxes, bags, cans, cartons, or packages--
to fill this welcome basket for a young couple moving to the Denver church that we've attended every once in a while.
The sign reads, "Welcome Walkers to the BLUE skies of Colorado!
Here are just some bits of this 'n' that to chase away the "blues"!
And if any of you who are reading my blog want to chase away your blues, get a book like this one that I grabbed at a goodwill recently and read aloud the weekend we camped.

I read in this wonderful book I got from the library recently the following excerpt:

We've been trying to make more room for laughter and less for grouchies and grumpies
in our home.
We want to be serious about serving and obeying God, and we want to whole-heartedly
give both money, prayers, time and effort to His work, as Bro. Elverne Asbury
and a traveling companion shared last Sunday.
But we want joy to be something that is noticed in our home.
We're never going to be perfect about it.
That's why Patsy Clairmont admits that "God uses cracked pots."
Everyone who watches us closely will find lots of cracks, and our cracks will make them feel better about their own.
But may they also find lots of joy!
