Picnic in the Rain--Happy 50th to Rob and Happy 12th to Hannah!

Sometimes you just have to make the best of things--such as when a picnic has been planned for a brother-in-law's 50th birthday party--and it rains!

Thankfully it didn't rain much, just was breezy and chilly, so we just put on jackets and wrapped shivering Grandma Lucas in a blanket at one time, and made the best of it!
Here is the cake Jonathan's sister Esther made for Rob--before I knocked the salad bowl into the side of the cake and ruined the "H" in "Happy Birthday!"

Here is another birthday--our Hannah turning 12 this year. 
She has really grown up a lot lately, and has been sincerely trying to do what is right, 
doing things without being asked like stacking wood and raking outdoors.
 She chose a lemon bundt cake and made it herself. 
We are blessed to have a sweet daughter like her for our last one!
