This was the scene out our window only a few days ago.
Yes, this was mid-May.
Carrie's dog loves to lie in the snow.

The horse likes the grass under the snow in our front yard.
A horse can only eat a little fresh, young grass per day in the spring or it may founder.
So Rose lets her horse out into our yard sometimes for half an hour or so.
But it really is spring (we think), for there are spring vegetables on sale at the grocery store--like asparagus.
I think it was Rose that made this delightful meal of rabbit pot pie with carrots and peas and biscuit dough on top.
Sometimes spring seems a long time in coming.
But "though it tarry, wait for it."
Sometimes God's answers to prayer are a long time in coming; His promises seem to take a long time to be fulfilled.
The winter seems to go on and on, and springtime does not seem to ever arrive.
But though it tarry, wait.
"Teach me the patience of unanswered prayer."
