When Danny showed us this picture this evening, I thought the nail had impaled the gloved finger but thankfully, it only went through the glove of his coworker at the job.
And I thought how many close calls we've all had but God has spared us from.
Jonathan and Danny and their crew work so many jobs.
They face many dangers and possible accidents every day.
Insulating interior walls at the fellowship hall at Martin Lakota Chapel.
Preparing to put up special siding for the inside walls.
Jonathan installed a new boiler for a veterinarian's clinic in Martin while the other men worked at the hall. The vet and his wife are tickled with the results.
As we read about the shootings in Minnesota and at a church funeral in Utah, we can thank God that we are still alive.
Our nation is so full of people now who do not respect authority, who think uprising against law enforcement is the right thing to do. Wrong is right, and right is wrong. And those who try to kill the ones trying to do right and enforce right laws consider themselves helping God out.
Yet when someone is caught in the middle of that, and we discover that the woman who appeared to be about to run over the law enforcement individual before he shot her in self defense
is one of our friends' nieces, it really comes close to home.
We share the sorrow.
We pray for the families involved.
We pray that God will help each of us stay on the right track, mind our own business, help others, love others, and do what is right according to the Word of God.
