The More You Pull the Rhubarb, the More it Grows--Canada Needs to Learn a Lesson

"The more I pull my rhubarb, the more it grows!" a lady at church who had shared some of her rhubarb with me told me on Mother's Day.
I would urge Alberta, Canada, to learn this lesson.
Rhubarb grows well in cool climates--not just on the dry Colorado high prairie, but in Alaska, and many places in between, and the more you harvest it, the better it grows.
And the more you try to uproot and pull up Christianity, the more it spreads.
The more you arrest pastors, padlock church doors, and surround churches with fences, the more Christianity will grow and spread.

Word about a second and third pastor arrested for the crime of conducting church services in person in church is getting around.

Does the devil never learn that he always loses?

Because when churches are closed, Christians arrested, and God's people persecuted, they end up thriving. They preach and hold Bible studies in prison. They go underground and keep sharing the gospel. They go deeper with God. They pray for their persecutors. They forgive those who torture them. They die for their faith, leaving a beautiful testimony and legacy of faith.

The more you pull rhubarb, the more it grows.

In Alaska where we helped occupational missionaries last year, we saw rhubarb that had grown waist high. It must grow well in Canada, too.

But will Canada learn its lesson?

The more you mess with Christianity, the more people will notice. The more questions will be asked. Revival will break out.

Maybe even the police who arrested the pastors will end up becoming believers.

It can happen even in Canada!
