Boutonnier Bungles--When We Don't Know How to Do It

"Can the mother of the groom please come help with boutonniers?" the SOS message came to me as I waited in the church sanctuary in between photos at the Red Bird Wedding Venue in Black Forest and the wedding ceremony at Majestic View Church in Kiowa.
So Mom Lucas, who is a pro at pinning a boutonniere (and also at spelling it!) [NOT]
hurried over to the hoped-for rescue at the building where the groom and groomsmen were preparing for the wedding.
By the time this poor mom had managed to semi-successfully pin the poor boutonniere on the poor groom,
the feathery plant behind the white rosebuds was losing much of its feathers!
And the poor groom was looking up toward heaven--I'm not sure exactly why,
except that when a person doesn't know how to do something, the first thing to do is look up and ask God for help!
Danny's boutonniere didn't cooperate much better.
And why photographers manage to capture flattering photos like this one of the groom's mom
is on my list of questions to ask someone someday
who knows all the answers to life's important questions!
